Oahu

Oahu is home of Hawaii’s capital Honolulu. Oahu is know for is big surfing events and has a large city. It also has the Pearl Harbor Museum, which is a must do if you visit this island. Many flights connect through Honolulu and then travel onto the other islands so it is possible to make this a stop on your journey to other islands.

Kauai

Kauai is a little more natural without the big cities or resorts. It has the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, gorgeous Na Pali coastline and plush jungles. This is the smallest of the 4 main islands and all parts of the island are easily accessible for a day trip. But don’t be turned off by the size, this island has A LOT to offer!

Big Island

The Big Island is the largest island in the chain of islands. When staying on this island it is difficult to travel from one side of the island to the other for a day trip because of its size. Consider staying on two different sides of the island in order to easily see everything! The Big Island is known for the Volcano National Park. Although all islands were formed by volcanic activity, this island has a large section of recent lava flows to check out!
